David Schutte, a Buffalo native, honed his culinary skills at the Culinary Institute of America and Cornell University. After interning in Napa Valley and working with Joe Baum in New York City, he returned home to open Babalu. In 1996, he acquired Creekview Restaurant, followed by Oliver’s Restaurant in 2013, and launched Britesmith Brewing in 2020. David continues to elevate Buffalo’s dining scene with fresh tastes and exceptional experiences.
